UMMAF is pleased to announce the dates and location for the USA National Amateur MMA Championship Tournament! The tournament will be held at Ft. For safety during amateur competition, fighters will wear shin and instep guards and will not be allowed to utilize elbow strikes, knee strikes to the head, twisting leg submissions or neck cranks (twisting of the neck beyond normal movement). These are the same rules and restrictions the winners will compete with during the World Championships in July. There will be certified medical personnel on-site in case of injury and transport to the nearest medical treatment facility available if needed. The tournament will take place in two fully staffed cages running simultaneously. In addition to MMA and to make the tournament more value added to competitors, a Kickboxing tournament will be held in the cage beginning April 2nd for eliminated MMA athletes who are deemed medically fit to compete.
